My friend and fellow DIY-minded blogger Eric Rochow at Garden Fork recently got together to talk shop about backyard homesteading and BK Swappers. Check it out. His website is great…lots of informative videos on doing-it-yourself-ism!
BK Swappers is a bi-monthly larder swap and meet-up that my buddy Kate Payne from Hip Girls Guide to Homemaking and I have been doing for the past 6 months or so. Folks bring jams, pickles, bread, eggs, anything they made themselves to swap for other edible items. It also functions as a potluck-style meet up so even if you don’t have food to swap, you can bring food to eat during the get together. It’s a lot of fun and everyone leaves with something delicious in hand or in belly!
We’re doing our next installment tomorrow! We’ve got a couple of spaces left, so RSVP at our Eventbrite page! , follow our hashtag (#bkswappers) on twitter or email us at BKSwappers@gmail.com to find out about future events!
