NYC’s First Honey CSA?

Next season is shaping up to be pretty busy and regular honey harvesting, shipping and delivery won’t be an option due to time constraints. In lieu of trying to sell off excess honey at retail markets I am opting to supply folks in my community directly.

Using the same CSA structure that local farms utilize, I will be making a limited number of Honey Shares available to folks in the neighborhood that are able to pick them up twice during the season. The first harvest (light and herbal) will be available in July, while the second honey harvest (dark and spicy) will be available in September. Each share will include a minimum of two pint sized jars of chunk honey (liquid honey with a chunk of comb suspended in it), one from each harvest.

If you are interested in being added to the mailing list for the Brooklyn Honey CSA, please email me, the Beekeeper with the subject “Honey CSA” and once the total number of shares becomes available, you will be contacted with further details.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Meg
